1991 yılında ilk defa ESWL uygulamalarını başlattık, Özellikle tıpta ESWL ile çok zor kırılan veya kırılmaz denen idrar yolu taşları ile ilgili bir yöntem geliştirmiş bulunmaktayız. 15 yıldan beri şu anda ACK ÜROTAŞ olarak daha gelişmiş cihaz ve deneyimle hizmet veriyoruz.

DISCUSSION

.....Recently, Kose and Demirbas reported high efficiency in theating primary prevesical stones using a modified-prone position similar to our method. In the current study, we found that the rotated-prone position was useful for calculi throghout the middle-distal ureter. Two factor may affect the efficacy of SWL for middle-distal ureteral stones with patients in prone positions. First, contact between the water cushion and the patient?s body should be tight and even, because any space on air between them result in energy loss. The concavity of the body and convexity of the water cushion in the rotated-prone position. Second, less interferrence with the shockwave path and lower energy absoption are preferable. The rotated-prone position can reduce these nagative effects attributed to be bone and causes the shockwaves to be focused more directly on the stones with minimal energy loss.

.....2004 yılında, zor kırılan ve kırılamayan açık veya kapalı ameliyat gerektiren üreter taşlarında MODİFİYE PRONE (ters yatma yöntemi) adı altında bir ESWL metodunu dünyada ilk olarak biz geliştirip uyguladık.İngiltere?de yayınlanan bir üroloji dergisinde (BJU Int.) yayınlatmayı başarıp dünyaya kabul ettirdik.

.....Yukarıdaki yayında da anlaşıldığı gibi, JOURNOL OF ENDO UROLOGY dergisinde Japonlar bizim metodumuzu örnek alarak, üreter taşlarının kırıldığını göstermişlerdir. Bu metodu Üroloji Uzmanı DR.AHMET C. KÖSE ve DR.MURAT DEMİRBAŞ bularak böylece dünyada yeni bir çığır açmış olmaktadırlar.
